I was sad to see this. I've read a few of Parnell Hall's books and I met him once or twice at Magna Cum Murder, a cozy little conference. It used to be held in Indiana, not sure if it still is. Probably not this year, I guess.

Unfortunately for me I'm sure, I've never read any of his books. I'll take a peek at his bibliography later to see what might strike my fancy.

I think his most popular - or best known, anyway - books are the "Puzzle Lady" series. http://parnellhall.com/puzzle-lady/

He also co-authored a couple books with Stuart Woods:

He also wrote a Stanley Hastings mystery series: http://parnellhall.com/stanley-hastings/

Sad. I didn't know he had died. I like Sudokus and crosswords, and of course I like mysteries, so I have read a lot of his books. I have a couple of them that I saved. It's hard to trade them because I like to do the puzzles that are in his books.

It took me a long time to read his book(s) because I had to do the crosswords and sudokus, too. And then when I got stuck on a crossword clue, I wasted a ton of time Googling Parnell Hall's name, trying to find a site where the answers were posted. Eventually I gave up and continued reading. And, duh, a few pages further along, the answers were posted right there in the book.
